"IB gives us many opportunities to study different areas of knowledge; also it makes us think in different ways.“
A Tradition of Success
The Worthgate School has offered the IB Diploma for over ten years. Our cohort sizes are small, which ensures that students receive personalised support to empower their achievement. Despite our small size, our IB students have regularly achieved strong results and top university places in the UK and around the world.
Worthgate School IB students have achieved an average total points score of 33.5 over the last six years. Our average points score has consistently been above the global average, which is normally around 30 according to the International Bacculaureate Organisation in 2024 and 2023.
Over the last six years, our IB students have progressed to four of the current top 10 UK universities, including the University of St Andrews and University College London, which are currently ranked number one and six in the UK.*
IB students have also progressed to several prestigious Russell Group universities. Worthgate School IB students have secured places to study at the University of Manchester, University of Nottingham and University of Birmingham.
IB can also be a route to top global universities, and our students have progressed to the University of Melbourne, University of Amsterdam and Politecnico of Milan in the last six years.

The Worthgate School is proud to celebrate our IB Class of 2024 success. Their scores and university destinations are a testament to their commitment to their studies and to the empowerment and inspiration offered by our IB teaching team.
