Immersive English

The Worthgate School is a fully immersive English environment. Our immersive education style nurtures every student to build knowledge, become resilient and achieve the best outcomes in life.

Academic Support

Support for High Performing Students

Students with strong academic ability and English skills are provided with challenging additional activities. High performing students have opportunities to work beyond the curriculum through leadership opportunities, academic challenges and online university courses (MOOC). In addition, UpLearn is a platform utilised by A level students to support their attainment.

Additional Sessions

We offer extra sessions for students who need them, and staff are always more than happy to help with any academic support. The aim of our additional learning support is to raise a student's level of independence, increasing their enjoyment of learning and empowering them to succeed academically.

Encouraging Success

Our teaching staff are committed to getting the best out of every student. Teachers set challenging targets, encouraging students to deepen their learning through further study and research utilising resources in our Learning Resource Centre. Teachers work with each student to continuously improve their work, while Personal Tutors provide extra support as required.

Education Expertise

The Worthgate School was the first school in the UK to offer the University Foundation Programme, meaning students can feel confident they are being taught by the most experienced staff who know what universities are looking for in a candidate.

Celebrating Success

All students completing their course at The Worthgate School are invited to attend our Graduation Ceremony along with their closest family members every August. The ceremony is a wonderful way to say farewell and have a formal end to the year.
