Empowering Students at Every Step

Within every academic year, Worthgate students receive bespoke specialist advice and
guidance to support their academic and career aspirations.

Year 11 students receive advice and guidance that focuses on developing career pathways and gain understanding of the requirements of specific careers in pathways such as Computer Science, Business Management, Social Science, Medicine or Creative subjects, amongst others. At this level we work to enhance students’ understanding of their next steps through our progression events, individual advice and guidance into A Level and International Baccalaureate qualifications.

In year 12 our University Scholars Programme introduces first year A Level and IB students to the world of Higher Education and University study, preparing students to apply for the most competitive programmes such as Medicine, Law, Architecture and the Oxbridge process. The programme also focuses on academic preparation, creating pathways and career guidance to ensure students are setting targets to reach their academic potential in preparation for application in their final year of study.

Graduating students studying IB, A Level or UFP qualifications receive unlimited support from the Director of Higher Education to complete their applications to the best possible standard. Alongside group sessions to receive advice on university research, entry requirements and application success, our students benefit from individual support to complete application to the UK, US, Europe and around the globe.
