House Spirit Shines at Worthgate’s Interhouse Sports Activities Day

Students at The Worthgate School came together for a lively day of teamwork, sporting challenges and friendly competition at our annual Interhouse Sports Activities Day.

Representing Dover, Deal, Hever and Leeds Houses, students took on six activity zones designed to challenge their coordination, accuracy and sporting skills. With a varied programme and plenty of opportunities to earn House points, everyone had a part to play.

From rugby skills and athletics to obstacle courses, sack races and hockey relays, each zone brought a different challenge. The Wacky Olympics added to the fun, while frisbee targets, beanbag bullseye and reaction challenges put students’ precision and quick thinking to the test.

House spirit shone throughout the day. Students encouraged their teammates, embraced unfamiliar activities and showed determination and sportsmanship as they worked together towards a shared goal.

After an exciting competition, Dover House claimed the 2026 House Trophy. Congratulations to all Dover students on their well-earned victory!

Alongside the competition, the day offered a valuable opportunity to build confidence, strengthen friendships and celebrate the sense of belonging at the heart of our Worthgate community. Every activity encouraged students to contribute their strengths, support one another and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.

Thank you to all the staff who organised and supported the event, and to every student who took part with such enthusiasm. Together, they made this year’s Interhouse Sports Activities Day a memorable celebration of teamwork and House pride.
