As the academic year draws to a close, we look back on one of the highlights of the summer term, The Worthgate School’s annual Interhouse Sports Competition.
Bringing students together for an exciting showcase of teamwork, determination and house pride, the competition saw each of the school’s four houses compete in volleyball, basketball and dodgeball on the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
The competition began with an energetic volleyball tournament, where every house demonstrated impressive skill, communication and teamwork. Students later returned to complete the basketball and dodgeball competitions, creating a fantastic atmosphere as they cheered on their teammates in a series of closely contested matches.
Throughout the competition, every house displayed resilience, sportsmanship and determination, making for an exciting finish as the final points were counted. While there could only be one winning house, every student played a part in making the event a memorable celebration of friendly competition and school spirit.

1st Place – Hever
2nd Place – Dover
3rd Place – Leeds
4th Place – Deal

More than just a sporting event, the Interhouse Sports Competition is an important part of student life at The Worthgate School. Through the house system, students build friendships, develop confidence and leadership skills, and enjoy opportunities to connect beyond the classroom.
