Winners of the ISA Award for Excellence and Innovation in Mental Health and Wellbeing 2022

We are incredibly proud to announce that The Worthgate School has been selected as the winner of the ISA (Independent Schools Association) Award for “Excellence and Innovation in Mental Health and Wellbeing 2022.

The Chief Executive Officer of ISA, Rudolf Eliott Lockhart, shared these words on why we were selected as winners of this award:

"At The Worthgate School, maintaining a culture of care is at the forefront of the minds of staff and students alike. They have developed 'Need to Talk', a 24/7 digital safe space accessible to all students. Worthgate School have built a culture that encourages discussion around mental health and wellbeing and normalises the importance of accessing support. This leaves students with self-care techniques that are now implemented in their daily lives.”

The ISA awards recognise excellence and innovation across 14 different categories, celebrating achievements in the independent school’s sector. There were a record number of entries this year, making this award even more special for The Worthgate School.

Our Acting Principal, Dr. Nicola Robinson, expressed our pride in receiving this award:

“We are so proud to have received this Award from the ISA, and we would like to dedicate this special recognition to everyone in the school for the dedication and hard work of our staff. The ISA praising our continued commitment to creating opportunities to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing in our school community is a real accolade. Thank you to all staff and the students that make The Worthgate School such a positive place to work.”
