Programme Overview
Our pre-sessional Academic English programme helps students develop their English skills to excel in their chosen academic programme: A level, International Baccalaureate or University Foundation Programme.
The programme is designed to be taken before an academic programme. Students engage in intensive English Language study, including Academic English, essay construction and note-taking with projects and assignments to use and improve their skills. Students also select other subjects to study alongside their intensive English lessons to maintain their knowledge and skills in preparation for further study.
Prepares a student for further academic study in the UK
Prepares students to take the government approved IELTS for UK visas and immigration
An introduction to the vocabulary required for the student's chosen academic programme
Learn about the following subjects in English: Maths; Business; History; and the Sciences
Improves accuracy and fluency when using English

Academic English is ideal for students aged 16+ who wish to study in the UK but do not yet have strong English. This programme is designed to develop a students skills and confidence in the language.
