The Worthgate School community is celebrating the achievements of our GCSE students as they receive their results and look forward to the next stage of their education.
These results recognise the dedication and determination students have shown throughout their studies. They also reflect the confidence, independence and academic skills they have developed during their time at Worthgate.
“Our GCSE students have demonstrated remarkable commitment, resilience and ambition throughout their studies. Their results reflect the progress they have made, both academically and personally, as they have grown in confidence and independence. These achievements have been made possible through their hard work and the dedicated support of our exceptional teachers and staff.
We are incredibly proud of every student and congratulate the Class of 2026 on reaching this important milestone. We look forward to seeing them embrace the opportunities ahead as they continue their educational journeys.”

GCSE Results 2026
This year, 47% of all GCSE grades awarded at Worthgate are 9–6, with students achieving strong results across a broad range of subjects.
Every result represents an individual journey. Students have joined Worthgate from across the UK and around the world, bringing with them different experiences, strengths and ambitions.
Throughout their GCSEs, students have grown academically and personally, adapting to new challenges and becoming more confident and independent learners. For some, this has also meant developing their English, adjusting to a new education system or building a life away from home. Their results reflect the positive way they have embraced these experiences and the progress they have made along the way.
More Than Academic Results
At Worthgate, education is about inspiring and empowering students to achieve while helping them develop the personal qualities they will need for the future.
The Worthgate Characteristics Caring, Communicators, Open-Minded, Resilient and Critical Thinkers are part of everyday school life. This year’s GCSE students have demonstrated these characteristics in different ways throughout their studies.
They have shown resilience when responding to academic challenges and critical thinking as they have developed a deeper understanding of their subjects.
They have become more confident communicators, expressing their ideas in lessons and collaborating with classmates from around the world. Through living and learning in an international community, students have also become increasingly open-minded, learning from cultures, traditions and perspectives different from their own.
Together, these qualities prepare students not only for further academic study, but also to contribute positively to their communities and become agents for change.
Study GCSEs at The Worthgate School
The Worthgate School offers an internationally recognised GCSE programme for students who want to establish a strong academic foundation before progressing to further study.
Students can join Year 10 in September or January and normally complete the programme over two years. They study a broad selection of subjects in classes led by experienced subject specialists, with teaching and support tailored to students from a range of educational backgrounds.
Alongside their academic subjects, students have opportunities to explore their individual interests and develop the confidence, independence and study skills required for future success. Students who use English as an additional language can also develop their language skills as part of their wider academic journey.
Located in the historic city of Canterbury, Worthgate provides a stimulating and inclusive environment where students from across the UK and around the world can learn, grow and prepare for their next academic step.
