Leading the Way: Offers from the UK’s Top 10 Universities
This year, Worthgate students have received offers from seven of the UK’s top ten universities*, including:
- University of St Andrews – consistently ranked #1 in the UK in student satisfaction and academic experience.
- Durham University – known for its collegiate system and excellence in Law, Humanities, and Sciences.
- Imperial College London – a world leader in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Medicine.
- University College London (UCL) – globally recognised for Architecture, Social Sciences, and Innovation.
- University of Edinburgh – one of the oldest and most respected universities in the UK and Europe.
Offers have also been received from the University of Bath and Lancaster University.
These universities are celebrated not only for academic excellence but also for preparing students for leadership in global careers and postgraduate research.

Global Recognition
Worthgate students have received 91 offers from universities ranked in the QS top 100 world universities*. Furthermore, they have received six offers from two of the QS World Top ten universities: Imperial College London and University College London (UCL). Ranking in the QS top 10 is a true marker of international academic excellence.
The other top global universities that have made offers to our students include The University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, University of Warwick and Kings College London as well as the University of Southampton, University of Bristol, Durham University, University of Glasgow, University of Leeds and University of Birmingham.
Additionally, 21 out of 24 Russell Group universities** have made offers to Worthgate students in 2025. That so many of these prestigious universities have made offers to our students indicates the strength of our university preparation and academic programmes. The Russell Group universities are a prestigious group of UK universities focused on academic and research excellence that many students aspire to attend.
Standout Courses and Competitive Fields
In total, students received over 100 offers to study high-demand subjects, such as:

Student Spotlight: Carlos from Peru
Among this year’s standout achievements is Carlos, an IB student from Peru, who has received three offers to study Medicine—one of the UK’s most competitive subjects. His offers include:
- Brighton and Sussex Medical School
- Hull York Medical School
- University of Nottingham
Amongst these offers Carlos has received an unconditional offer from University of Nottingham. This highly unusual offer indicates that Carlos more than met entry requirements for this course.
Carlos’s success highlights the strength of the IB Diploma Programme and the school’s commitment to preparing students for ambitious pathways.
