Year 9
Ages 13+
Our Year 9 programmes offer a relatively broad curriculum, preparing students for study in Years 10 and 11.
Year 9
Ages 13-14
Academic preparation for the GCSE qualification for students who have completed 7+ years of schooling. The programme follows the traditional UK curriculum of discrete subjects and introduces key GCSE content. Therefore, a good command of English is necessary to successfully engage with this curriculum.

Language and subject preparation for the next stage of your education at The Worthgate School – GCSE or Pre-programme.
Years 10 & 11
Ages 14+
Years 10 and 11 are when a student can begin to specialise and make real choices about where their education takes them. We offer a range of qualifications for this level of study.
GCSE
Ages 14+
GCSE is a qualification that enables progression to a pre-university programme such as A level or International Baccalaureate. Students will need 8+ years of schooling.
Pre-A level
Ages 15+
Language and subject preparation for a pre- A level, International Baccalaureate Diploma or University Foundation Programme.
Years 12 & 13
Ages 15.5+
Years 12 & 13, also known as Sixth Form, are when a student can make impactful choices on their education future. We offer three world-class qualifications at this stage.
International Baccalaureate
Ages 16+
A higher level qualification that challenges, encourages and inspires you to become a caring and critical thinker, ready for university study.
A level
Ages 15.5+
A higher level qualification recognised by universities around the world. Choose 3+ subjects to focus on over the two-year programme.
University Foundation Programme
Ages 16.5+
Our University Foundation Programme (UFP) is designed as a bridge for international students between high school in their own country to university in the UK. Choose 3 subjects + English to focus on.
Additional Programmes
UK High School Term
Ages 14+
UK High School Term allows students to take classes in the British education system before returning to their studies at home or continuing to study in the UK.
Academic English
Ages 16+
A full-time intensive programme designed to help students meet the English Language entry requirements to progress directly into our other programmes.
